The Challenge
A Plano, Texas-based startup needed a mobile-first platform to streamline point-of-sale and online ordering for restaurants and service industry merchants — replacing the disconnected mix of legacy POS terminals, separate online ordering systems, and in-store menu boards that most merchants were stuck stitching together. The platform needed to work consistently across the full range of hardware a restaurant actually uses day to day — handheld POS, in-store ordering stations, and menu displays — all backed by cloud infrastructure that could scale with merchant growth.
What We Built
Dinifi — a mobile-first POS and ordering platform built natively in Swift across iOS, iPadOS, and tvOS, giving merchants one consistent system across every device in the restaurant: smartphone-based POS, in-store ordering on iPad, and menu displays on Apple TV. The platform integrates with the systems merchants already rely on through a dedicated API integration layer, and runs on Azure cloud infrastructure that we migrated and deployed to support merchant-scale transaction volume. As the Dedicated Team engagement, exbisoft functioned as an embedded extension of Dinifi’s own engineering organisation, covering mobile development, cloud migration, and ongoing API integration work.
What It Delivers
- One consistent platform across smartphone POS, in-store iPad ordering, and Apple TV menu displays
- Native Swift development across iOS, iPadOS, and tvOS — no cross-platform shortcuts
- Azure cloud migration and deployment supporting merchant-scale transaction volume
- API integration connecting the platform to the systems restaurants and service merchants already use
- Dedicated engineering team embedded alongside Dinifi’s own staff, covering mobile, cloud, and integration work
