Visitor Compliance App

The Challenge

A manufacturer with 5,800+ employees across multiple sites in Germany has strict compliance requirements for every visitor — safety briefings, policy acknowledgements, regulatory documentation, and recorded approvals before anyone enters a facility. Managing this with paper-based processes or generic tools is slow, inconsistent, and difficult to audit. The client needed a system that could handle the full compliance onboarding workflow digitally — covering documentation, video briefings, digital signatures, and approval flows — and integrate with the visitor management system already in place. With multiple sites and a large annual visitor volume, reliability and auditability were non-negotiable.

What We Built

A native iPad application in Swift, paired with a custom middleware layer that connects it to the client’s existing visitor management system — itself previously developed by exbisoft, giving us deep familiarity with the integration surface. The app guides visitors through a structured compliance workflow: reviewing required documents, watching mandatory safety videos, providing digital signatures, and receiving approvals — all recorded and timestamped. Completed records are stored centrally and accessible for audit across all sites at any time.
